In April of 1946, one year after the end of the Second World War, the world’s first aerobatic team was established at the Naval Air Training Base in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. After the performance, the captain Lieutenant Colonel Roy often took the pilots to a small bar called “Blue Sky” near the training base to celebrate the success of the flight show. Over time, they proposed to commemorate the flight show team with the name of the small bar they frequented came. By the end of 1946, the team was officially named Blue Angle.
